What is the CSV format for Sales Predictions?

Files uploaded to the Sales Predictions tool should meet the following criteria:

  • Less than 1,000 rows
  • Each row containing a title and optionally a price, comma-separated:
        title 1,price 1
        title 2,price 2
        ...
  • Prices as numbers only, without leading currency symbol (e.g. no "$")
  • No column headers necessary or included
  • File's name ends with the ".csv" extension

For example, the following are three rows from a properly formatted CSV file for Sales Predictions:

Olympus OM-D E-M1 16.3MP Digital Camera,450.00
Olympus M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 Aspherical AF ED Lens,485.00
DJI (Panasonic/Leica) 15mm f/1.7 Micro Four Thirds MFT Autofocus Lens,355.25

Common CSV File Problems

If you have difficulty uploading your CSV file or receive results that do not appear to include each of the rows you intended to include, double-check the following:

  • Ensure that there is one, and only one, comma in each line of the file (e.g. do not include commas amongst your keywords)
  • Ensure that there are no currency symbols before prices

If you are having trouble generating a CSV file for Sales Predictions, consider using a spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel to create your file. Enter keywords in the first column and prices in the second column, then save your work as a CSV file.
